The LF1 is also significantly slimmer. When powered down, the LX7 measures 50mm from its lens cap to its LCD screen, so it'll only fit in big pockets. You are free to go anywhere carrying LF1, compared with the digital SLR camera or prosumer camera, which is definitely heavier and larger.
LEICA DC
VARIO-SUMMICRON lens
Panasonic DMC-LF1 is equipped with newly developed 28mm wide angle LEICA DC
VARIO-SUMMICRON lens with 7.1x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 28-200mm).

much longer telephoto coverage.
This supreme lens features F2.0 high speed, which boasts approx. 2x higher
speed of F2.8 lens. Leica is well known as a maker of high-quality camera
lenses. It seems that Panasonic have not thought of to use lenses from other
manufacturers.

variety of shooting-assist functions including Intelligent D-range Control, AF
Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition and Intelligent ISO
Control. The iA Plus mode lets you adjust background focus, white balance, and
exposure compensation for even more control.

a filter while checking how it looks on the picture. Certain filters can be
used for video recording as well. The Creative Retouch mode lets you apply a
filter on a picture, in camera, even after shooting. With the Creative Panorama
function, you can apply 13 filter effects to your horizontal/vertical panoramic
images.
Certain filters can be used for video recording as well. Videos can also be
recorded in MP4 format (30p (NTSC) for playback on a PC or other device without
having to convert the files, so it’s very convenient. The Auto Wind Cut
function blocks out most of the noise from background wind, so you can make
movies or video clip with a good quality result in stereo sound.
Dynamic range is also good and can be enhanced by using the iDynamic
option, or alternatively the HDR shot will combine three shots at full
resolution. Macro performance is quite good, allowing you to focus on subjects
that are 3cm away from the camera. Panasonic
